About Mekelburg’s
From Clinton Hill beginnings to the Williamsburg waterfront.
Mekelburg’s opened in Clinton Hill in 2015 as a neighborhood specialty market with a serious cafe counter. The early days at the Grand Avenue era shaped everything: babka worth lining up for, stacked sandwiches, hot chicken, and a beer list that invited people to linger.
Today the flagship lives at 319 Kent Avenue in Williamsburg, steps from Domino Park. Same spirit — market shelves, cafe service, and a bar for trivia nights and late pints — with more room for brunch crowds and retail browsing.

Heritage Note
We still talk about the Clinton Hill years (293 Grand Ave era) with pride. That original market energy — shelves, bakery case, and a counter that knew regulars by name — is the blueprint for Kent Avenue.
